Good base for discovering Kelso. Handy location just next door to Kelso, and centre of Kelso. Plenty of food options within a close distance from the venue. Plenty of fabulous food.

The location at Cross Keys Hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Kelso Square. The room was spacious, but it felt dated and could use a makeover. The staff were cute and helpful. Dinner in the Saddlers Restaurant was a highlight. The food was delicious, especially the homemade steak pie. Breakfast options exceeded my expectations. Everything was cooked well and fresh. There were issues with the plumbing in the ladies' bathroom with a strong smell. The communal areas were clean and pleasant, but my room had a musty odor. I did enjoy the attentive service during meals, though the slow pace during busy times was frustrating. I noticed some noise from cleaning staff in the morning, which interrupted a peaceful start to the day. It's a charming spot with potential but needs attention to details in certain areas to really shine.

Really good dining and helpful staff
The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, with locally sourced ingredients, made each dish nice. The breakfast was equally excellent, with a variety of options that filled our mornings with joy. One downside was the room decor, which could use a modern touch to enhance the overall vibe.

Recommend it for groups looking for a good meal
We had an very nice Sunday lunch, 3 roast meats and amazing veggies, all for under £18! Plus, the staff were so friendly, it was like we were all family there, very cute!
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but I'd say it was justifiable for what we got.
